Marketing Coordinator (Full Time)

Salary Range:$15.11 + Depending on Experience
Type:Full Time

Primarily responsible for developing, recommending, and implementing the Credit Union's marketing strategy.  This position will be an innovative "out of the box", creative thinker and promote ideas that will help differintiate YOUR Community Credit union from our competitors in the marketplace and  be responsible for day-to-day creation, development, production, and distribution of the Credit Union's communications.


Essential Functions & Responsibilities

40%     Manage the creative and innovative development process from concept to completion including design, copywriting, photography, press releases, etc.  Develop, negotiate, and purchase all marketing materials, print media, signage and media buys.  Design and explore multi-channel marketing and sales promotion strategies.

25%     Determine priorities within the framework of the credit union's strategic direction, garner partnerships with credit union management and personnel, and clearly communicate calendar deadlines.  Execute rollout and implementation; track results. Manage special project promotions within necessary timeframes as they arise.

10%     Monitor and proof credit union web sites and social networks as needed to ensure information is current and correct.

10%     Administer brand positioning.  Increase credit union brand awareness and reach.                                                

10%     Coordinates various meetings and events, including production of reports, facilities, and meeting logistics.   

5%       Performs other job related duties as assigned.


1.             Marketing functions are well coordinated and the credit union's strategic direction.

2.       Marketing research is valid, reliable, and a useful tool for management.

3.       Marketing programs are appropriate, effective, and reviewed regularly.

4.       Service and product needs of current and prospective members are identified and met.

5.       Good working relationships exist with area personnel.  Assistance and training is provided as needed.

6.       Professional and effective public relations are maintained.

7.       Managment is appropriately informed of area activities and of any significant problems.  Required reports are accurate and timely.  Suggestions for improved performance are provided.



Bachelor's Degree in Marketing or related field.


Two to five years of similar or related experience


Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Ability to work independently, collaboratively, and proactively

Excellent organizational and analytical abilities

Solid writing skills

Able to operate computer applications

Able to use graphic arts tools and supplies


TALKING: One must frequently convey detailed or important instructions or ideas accurately, loudly, or quickly.

REPETITIVE MOTIONS: Movements frequently and regularly require using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.

FINGER DEXTERITY: Primarily using just the fingers to make small movements such as typing, picking up small objects, or pinching fingers together.

AVERAGE HEARING: Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.

AVERAGE VISUAL ABILITIES: Average, ordinary visual acuity is necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products, or operate machinery.

PHYSICAL STRENGTH: Sedentary work; sitting most of the time.  Exerts up to 20 lbs. of force occassionally and/or up to 10 lbs. frequently.


No hazardous or significantly unpleasant conditions (such as in a typical office). Occasional local travel.


REASONING ABILITY: Ability to deal with a variety of variables under only limited standardization.  Able to interpret various instructions.

MATHEMATICS ABILITY: Ability to perform basic math skills, use decimals to compute ratios and percents, and to draw and interpret graphs.

LANGUAGE ABILITY: Ability to read a variety of books, magazines, atlases, and encyclopedias.  Ability to prepare memos, reports, and essays using proper punctuation, spelling and grammar.  Ability to communicate distinctly with appropriate pauses and emphasis; correct punctuation (or sign equivalent), and variation in word order using present, past and future tenses.
